"Unique conditions" and Stryker: How the Ukrainian Armed Forces achieved success during the offensive near Kursk - Forbes.

Ukrainian soldiers, who were civilians just three years ago, have learned to despise their enemy and are therefore utilizing all available resources in the Kursk region, according to analysts from Forbes. One of these resources includes the wheels of the Stryker armored vehicle.
"Уникальные условия" и Stryker: как ВСУ достигли успеха в наступлении под Курском, — сообщает Forbes.

The battles between the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Russian Armed Forces in the Kursk region are occurring at close range, with the use of short-range grenades and various types of drones. Footage from the clashes indicates that the Ukrainians may have advanced so rapidly that they cut off the enemy, leaving them without any fire support. Insights on the situation near Kursk and how the Defense Forces are fighting near the village of Berdin were reported on the Forbes portal.

"The circumstances are unique. Such complex battles have characterized the fight for Kursk ever since strong Ukrainian forces invaded the region back in August," the publication noted.

Meanwhile, Forbes drew several conclusions from the video regarding the details of the Ukrainian advance in the Kursk region:

  1. The offensive is ongoing, despite the Russian forces having a threefold advantage. Contrary to the enemy's superiority, the Ukrainians managed to advance approximately 3 km within two days.
  2. The Russians, who were being pursued by a Stryker armored personnel carrier, had no fire support.
  3. At least two reconnaissance drones were monitoring the situation. The publication also highlighted that both the Ukrainian and Russian Armed Forces are actively employing drones on the battlefield near Kursk.
  4. Infantry clashes are taking place at close range using short-range grenade launchers.
  5. The situation involving the Stryker and Russian soldiers indicates that the Ukrainians' advance was quite rapid, allowing them to cut off a certain segment of enemy units from their main forces. The publication described the actions of the Ukrainians as a "bloodlust," reflecting their "hatred for the enemy" and morale.

The publication also recalled how the U.S. experienced early defeats in combat during World War II because Americans lacked hatred for the enemy. Meanwhile, Ukrainians, who were peaceful civilians just three years ago, have "quickly learned this vital hatred for the foreign aggressor."

Details of the Ukrainian Offensive in the Kursk Region

It is worth noting that on January 5-6, the first reports emerged from President Vladimir Zelensky's Office about the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region. On January 6-7, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War analyzed videos from the scene and reported that fighting is taking place near approximately 11 populated areas on Russian territory. Additionally, two main directions of the offensive have been identified: the Russian Armed Forces have intensified their activity to the northwest of Sudzha, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced to the northeast.

We remind you that on the night of January 7, analysts from the DeepState project reported the occupation of three more populated areas in Donbas.
