Umerov appointed Kubrakov as his advisor on a voluntary basis.

The Minister of Defense believes that Kubrakov's experience will be valuable and will help enhance the supply and logistics systems within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov has appointed former Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov as his advisor on a voluntary basis.

He announced this on Facebook.

“I have appointed Oleksandr Kubrakov as my advisor on a voluntary basis. His experience in roles such as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure, and head of ‘Ukravtodor’ is significant and will aid in improving the supply and logistics system within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I am confident that his governmental and practical experience will enhance the effectiveness of defense processes and strengthen our defense capabilities,” the statement reads.

Kubrakov himself shared on his social media page X that he is officially collaborating with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine as a volunteer advisor to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov from today.

“The knowledge and practical experience I have gained over the past few years will be utilized to enhance the logistics support systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, contributing to peace in our country. Supporting the front lines and our military has always been my top priority, regardless of my role or current job,” he wrote.

To remind, Oleksandr Kubrakov has held positions as Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine, Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, and head of ‘Ukravtodor’. In May 2024, the parliament voted to dismiss Kubrakov from his role as Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister for Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
