Украинцам в Польше приходят фальшивые повестки.

Some citizens of Ukraine in Poland have received letters resembling summons for mobilization. The Office for Foreigners has assured that this is a forgery.

This information is mentioned on the agency's website.

“The issue concerns letters that impersonate the Office for Foreigners. They urge Ukrainian citizens to undergo military service, threatening legal consequences and extradition,” the statement reads.

The Office for Foreigners has published a scan of the letter sent to Ukrainians residing in Poland.

“According to the current legislation of Ukraine, particularly the Law of Ukraine on Military Service, and in connection with the mobilization process, considering that you are a citizen of Ukraine, we inform you that from December 17 to 31, 2024, we plan to conduct a visit to your place of residence (...) The purpose of this visit is to transport you to the mobilization point regarding military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the fraudulent document states.

The letter, whose sender pretends to be the Office for Foreigners, also mentions criminal liability for evading mobilization duties, including extradition.

The Office for Foreigners claims that it did not send these letters. However, it does not specify how many cases of such fraud have been identified. It is also unclear who is sending the letters and for what purpose.
