Ukrainians have started purchasing fewer diesel vehicles.

In January, Ukraine's vehicle fleet welcomed 4,305 cars with diesel engines. This marks a 27% decrease compared to the same period last year.

This information is reported by the Ukravtoprom association.

It is noted that 903 vehicles were purchased new, while 3,402 were used. The top new diesel cars include: Renault Duster – 144 vehicles, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – 129, Toyota Hilux – 66, Peugeot Landtrek – 62, Skoda Kodiaq – 41.

The leaders among used diesel passenger cars are: Renault Megane – 272 vehicles, Skoda Octavia – 243, Nissan Qashqai – 229, Volkswagen Passat – 204, Volkswagen Golf – 115.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that in January, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet increased by over 3,600 electric cars. The demand for electric vehicles rose by 3% compared to January 2024.
