Vladimir Zelensky confirmed that he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump on February 28.
He stated this in an evening video address.
"Our teams are working with America; we are preparing for negotiations this Friday. An agreement with America. Support for our country and people. Guarantees of peace and security are key to preventing Russia from further destroying the lives of other nations. I will meet with President Trump," said Zelensky.
He emphasized the importance of ensuring that American assistance to Ukraine is not halted.
The day before, Trump announced that on February 28, Ukraine and the U.S. plan to sign an agreement on mineral resources. The U.S. President "invited" Zelensky to sign this agreement together.
