Ukrainians in temporarily occupied territories have been prohibited from topping up their mobile accounts without a Russian passport. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.
"In the temporarily occupied territories, Russians are imposing a ban on recharging mobile balance without a passport. From now on, if a resident wants to add funds to their mobile account with cash, they must present their passport or authenticate through the state services portal," the statement says.
The Center for National Resistance explained that this measure is intended to track the actual owners of the numbers and to use it as a means of forced passportization.
"Because to top up the account and continue communication, a Ukrainian must now have an identification document or a Russian Federation passport. Additionally, the repressive apparatus of the Kremlin will be able to monitor the number owners more effectively," the CNS noted.
Recall that on December 29, the Center for National Resistance reported that Russians will sell the land plots of Ukrainians who have left the occupied territories in 2025.
On December 28, the Center for National Resistance stated that Russians in the Kherson direction are increasingly deserting and injuring themselves.
