Ukraine aims to produce 3,000 missiles and 30,000 long-range drones, - Shmyhal
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has tasked the production of 30,000 long-range drones. Additionally, Ukrainian enterprises plan to manufacture around 3,000 missiles.
This information was shared by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, during a government meeting.
As the head of the government noted, a total of 2 trillion 230 billion hryvnias has been allocated for defense and security in 2025. Taxpayer funds from the state budget will be directed towards these objectives. Expenditures on armaments and military equipment will amount to no less than 739 billion hryvnias.
According to Shmyhal, Ukrainian defense industry enterprises plan to increase their production capacity to 30 billion dollars. He added that under the "Victory Weapon" project, the government will initiate long-term contracts with manufacturers for 3-5 years.
"We will pay special attention to the long-range component and the missile program. The task from the President of Ukraine is to produce no less than 30,000 long-range drones. Ukrainian enterprises also plan to manufacture around 3,000 cruise missiles and drone missiles," Shmyhal stated.
Furthermore, Ukraine will develop the "Danish model," in which partners purchase weapons from the domestic defense industry for the needs of the Ukrainian army. For 2025, they expect to attract over 1 billion dollars.
