On the night of January 30, the Russian army struck one of the high-rise buildings in the city of Sumy. As a result of the drone hitting the ten-story building, several apartments were destroyed. The number of injured has risen to nine.

“On January 30, the enemy launched an attack on one of the ten-story residential buildings in Sumy. Preliminary reports indicate that nine apartments and 12 balconies were destroyed as a result of the strike,” the statement reads.
Emergency responders managed to rescue four people, including one child. A total of 118 individuals were evacuated. Rescue and search operations are ongoing.
UPDATED at 8:30 AM. According to reports from the Sumy Regional State Administration, four people have died, and nine have sustained injuries of varying severity, including one child.

The death toll from the nighttime airstrike on the high-rise in Sumy has risen to eight. Among the deceased are three couples: a 74-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife, a 65-year-old man and his 64-year-old wife, and a 61-year-old man and his 61-year-old wife.
In the evening, the bodies of a 74-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman were recovered from the rubble – her 8-year-old daughter was injured. A total of 12 individuals have been reported injured, stated the Prosecutor General's Office.

In Sumy, the emergency and search operations have been completed, as reported by the State Emergency Service. Rescuers worked for 19 hours to clear the debris. The death toll has increased to 9. Thirteen people have been injured, including an 8-year-old girl. Two apartment buildings and over 20 cars were damaged.
Police have received 129 reports from local residents regarding the consequences of the Russian shelling.
The Prosecutor General's Office reported that 14 people have been injured.
