The administration of the current White House head, Joe Biden, is working to provide the 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, with as strong a position as possible regarding Ukraine.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in an interview with CBS News.
During the interview, the host expressed concerns that critics worry about the potential end of the full-scale war in Ukraine during Trump's presidency not favoring Kyiv. In response, the U.S. Secretary of State stated that speculating on this issue is pointless.
"What makes sense is to ensure that we provide the next administration, Trump's future administration, with as strong a position as possible so that it can pursue policies worldwide, whether regarding Ukraine or other matters," Blinken noted.
Despite the fact that two months have passed since the U.S. presidential election, Trump remains in the status of the newly elected leader. However, shortly after the inauguration, he will officially assume the role of the White House head.
According to the U.S. Constitution, the inauguration takes place on January 20, or January 21 if the previous day falls on a Sunday.
