U.S. President Donald Trump believes that the issue of sanctions imposed against Russia should be considered sooner or later. According to him, there may come a "certain moment" when these sanctions, which the U.S. implemented due to Russia's aggression, could be lifted. The politician stated this during a conversation with reporters at the White House on the night of February 25-26, according to Kyiv time.

"I think at some point it will happen," he said in response to reporters' questions about lifting sanctions against Russia.

However, he added that such a question has not yet been discussed at the White House, and they are not planning to lift "any sanctions" against anyone.

"Right now, we have not agreed to lift sanctions against anyone," Donald Trump declared.

The U.S. President did not specify under what conditions the White House might consider the issue of lifting sanctions imposed against Russia. At the same time, during the conversation, he reiterated that his negotiations with Russia are going "very well."

It is worth noting that political analysts suggest the possibility that the White House may raise the issue of lifting sanctions against Russia. In particular, Vladimir Fesenko asserts that the U.S. is currently sending signals that easing the imposed restrictions and bans could be part of peace negotiations to end the Russo-Ukrainian war. However, the Kremlin does not believe that easing the imposed sanctions could be a key factor in the negotiations. This was reported by the publication Bloomberg on February 21.

It should be noted that during the conversation with reporters at the White House on the night of February 26, Trump also discussed assistance to Ukraine and agreements regarding rare earth resources.
