"It would be unfair to overlook those individuals who have already taken this step," stated a representative of the agency.
Following this statement, the ministry representative provided details on who can take such a step and how to obtain funding from the government.
"A one-time cash reward of 1 million hryvnias is designated for military personnel in the ranks of private, sergeant, and chief sergeant who joined before the age of 25, prior to the new contract conditions coming into effect," reported Lazutkin.
At the same time, this refers to volunteers who joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation began on February 24, 2022. The spokesperson noted that the war in Ukraine has been ongoing since 2014; however, these new service conditions do not apply to that period.
According to the agency representative, these individuals can reach out to their commanders to learn about the necessary steps for receiving this reward.
Additionally, the implementation of such a project indicates that Ukraine is preparing to lower the conscription age, which will include citizens aged 18. This was stated by military analyst Alexey Hetman on February 11.
