The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), Semen Kryvonos, has filed a complaint with the High Council of Justice requesting disciplinary action against a judge from the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv.
This was reported by the bureau's press service.
Detectives discovered that at the end of 2023, this judge made a series of decisions that may not comply with legal standards. These pertain to cases regarding the return of funds seized during investigations. Specifically, there are two instances where the judge ruled that money confiscated during a search was returned not to the rightful owner but to a third party with no connection to those funds. In total, this involves two amounts: over 4.1 million UAH and more than 15 million UAH.
The NABU added that this judge has previously made similar questionable rulings, which have been the subject of earlier complaints to the High Council of Justice.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that NABU uncovered an organized group whose members caused nearly 60 million UAH in damages to "Ukrenergo".
