The court has placed Dmitry Kozyura, the head of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the SBU, in custody until April 11 without the possibility of bail, as reported by a correspondent from "Suspilne" from the courtroom.
Kozyura is suspected of collaborating with the Russian FSB. The prosecutor stated in court that the suspect provided Russian intelligence with information containing state secrets and details about the consequences of missile strikes.
Kozyura was detained the day before, and he is suspected of treason.
In court, Kozyura admitted that he had been aware he was working for the FSB since 2018, yet he continued to do so.
Background. It was reported that the SBU announced they had uncovered a "top rat of the FSB" within their ranks. The agency revealed that this individual turned out to be the head of the Anti-Terrorist Center of the Security Service of Ukraine. SBU Chief Vasyl Maliuk personally participated in the operational-investigative group that dealt with the suspect and led the operation for his arrest.
