Starmer is prepared to send British peacekeepers to Ukraine following a peace agreement.

Europe and the United States must continue to support Kyiv and maintain economic pressure on Russia, emphasized the British Prime Minister.
Стармер готов отправить британских миротворцев в Украину после заключения мирного соглашения.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that he is "ready and willing" to send British troops to Ukraine to ensure the implementation of any peace agreement.

This is mentioned in the Prime Minister's column for The Telegraph.

According to him, potentially "putting British lives at risk is a huge responsibility," but London must be prepared to safeguard both the UK and all of Europe in this manner. A strong peace in Ukraine that guarantees its sovereignty is essential to deter future attacks from Russia, believes the head of government.

"The UK is ready to take a leading role in accelerating efforts to provide security guarantees for Ukraine. This includes continued support for the Ukrainian armed forces, for which the UK has already allocated £3 billion per year, at least until 2030. But it also means being prepared and willing to contribute to maintaining Ukraine's security guarantees by deploying our own troops to the country if necessary," Starmer wrote.

He believes that Europe and the US must continue to work closely together, particularly regarding military aid to Kyiv and economic pressure on Moscow. The summit of European leaders in France, scheduled for today, will determine the future security of the continent, according to the politician.

"I intend to say in Paris that peace comes through strength. But the opposite is also true. Weakness leads to war," concluded the British Prime Minister.

Background. Previously, Mind reported that disputes over the deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine are "inappropriate and premature." This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in an interview with RND.
