The United States is imposing sanctions on the Chinese cybersecurity firm Integrity Technology Group, Incorporated (Integrity Tech) due to its involvement in numerous hacking incidents.
This was announced by the U.S. State Department.
According to their information, this company is linked to the Ministry of State Security of China and is a significant state contractor. Officially, Integrity Technology provides services to state and municipal public security and safety bureaus, as well as to other state cybersecurity contractors in the PRC.
Hackers working for Integrity Tech, also known as "Flax Typhoon," operate on behalf of the Chinese government. Their targets have included critical infrastructure both in the United States and abroad. The "Flax Typhoon" hackers have successfully attacked numerous American and foreign corporations, universities, government agencies, telecommunications providers, and media organizations.
