Poll: Ukrainians revealed which European politicians they trust the most.

The situation regarding Ukrainian politicians is more complex – Zaluzhny enjoys a higher level of trust compared to Zelensky.

Among European leaders, Ukrainians have the most favorable views of French President Emmanuel Macron (77%), Polish President Andrzej Duda (72%), and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen (67%).

Results from a survey conducted by the Sociological Group Rating support this finding.

It is noted that more than half of the respondents have a positive attitude towards German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Turkish President Erdoğan (both at 57%), and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer (56%).

Compared to last year's figures, attitudes towards these leaders have significantly improved. For Macron and Starmer, these are the highest positive ratings recorded since the surveys began.

The least favorable views among Ukrainians are towards Viktor Orbán (11%), Alexander Lukashenko (8%), and Putin (1%).

The situation regarding Ukrainian politicians is more complex.

Specifically, two-thirds of Ukrainians trust President Zelensky, while one-third do not. Since January, the level of trust has increased from 57% to 65%.

Valerii Zaluzhnyi enjoys a trust level of 76%, with 16% expressing distrust.

Serhii Prytula has a trust level of 34%, while 51% do not trust him.

Petro Poroshenko's trust level stands at 22%, with 76% not trusting him.

Dmytro Razumkov has a trust level of 19%, and 41% do not trust him.

Yulia Tymoshenko has a trust level of 11%, with 86% expressing distrust.

Respondents were also asked about negotiations between Russia and the USA without Ukraine's participation.

The survey results indicate that Ukrainians categorically reject (91% against) negotiations in this format, believing that the normalization of relations between these countries is beneficial for Russia and detrimental to both Ukraine and the European Union.

At the same time, a significant portion of Ukrainians (64%) support direct negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, and this figure is on the rise.

The absolute majority of respondents (81%) believe that a realistic path to ending the war is finding a compromise solution through negotiations involving other countries.

Furthermore, most respondents (83%) believe that Ukraine should agree to a ceasefire only if security guarantees are provided.

Background. It is worth noting that according to KMIS data, Zelensky is trusted by 57% of Ukrainians, although distrust has been rising throughout 2024.

As previously reported, Trump stated that Zelensky has a 4% approval rating and demands elections, "if Ukraine wants a seat at the negotiating table."
