After the rains and night frosts, a warming trend is expected to arrive in Ukraine. This was reported by meteorologist Natalia Didenko, who shared the weather forecast for the weekend.
Rain is possible on the night of October 20 in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in Crimea. In the other regions, the weekend is expected to be mostly dry with sunny breaks.
"But — attention! — fogs will form in the western part of Ukraine, reducing visibility to 300-500 meters," the expert warned.
Frosts will occur across the country at night, except in the southeast. During the day on October 19, the coldest temperatures will be in the Luhansk, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia regions, and even in Crimea, ranging from +6 to +9 degrees.
The warmest weather is anticipated in the west and in the Odesa region, where temperatures will range from +11 to +15 degrees throughout the day. In other regions, temperatures will be between +8 and +12 degrees. Kyiv will also experience cool weekends, with nighttime temperatures from +1 to +4 degrees and some frost, while daytime temperatures will be between +10 and +11 degrees.
"The weather is perfect for forest and park walks, fresh air for the mind, carpets, down blankets, and visiting relatives and friends," Didenko emphasized.
She added that starting Monday, October 21, a "wonderful warming" and "lots of sunshine" are expected across Ukraine. Temperatures will rise to between +12 and +17 degrees.
As a reminder, according to media reports, preparations for the New Year celebrations are already underway in Kyiv. Organizers have revealed how this year's main Christmas tree will differ from its predecessor.
Health Minister Viktor Lyashko stated that he will not get vaccinated to pressure politicians into implementing reforms. He suggested that Ukrainians may be able to receive vaccinations at pharmacies by the end of the year.
