A portion of the Russian military remains stationed in Belarus. However, no significant movements have been observed.
This information is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Telegram channel "Belarusian Hayun".
According to monitoring data, the situation regarding the Russian military contingent in Belarus has not changed as of September. Russian troops continue to be located in the same areas and in the same numbers as before:
Additionally, the 484th Military Investigative Department and the 313th Military Prosecutor's Office of the garrison continue to operate in Belarus. The number of personnel involved in these structures is expected to be in the dozens.
It is likely that another rotation of the Russian contingent stationed at the "Zhabrovka" and "Mozyr" ("Bokov") airfields occurred at the end of September. Prior to this, rotations of Russian troops were recorded in December 2023, mid-February, late March, late April, late June, and late July 2024. On average, rotations happen once every month and a half.
Overall, as of October 1, 2024, "Belarusian Hayun" estimates the number of Russian military personnel in Belarus to be around 2000.
Belarus is supporting Russia in the war against Ukraine by providing equipment and ammunition. At the onset of the full-scale invasion, Russian troops advanced from Belarusian territory, from which they also launched missile strikes.
