As of 7:00 AM, efforts to extinguish the fire caused by the impact of a Russian drone on the New Safe Confinement Arch are ongoing.
The press service of the Ministry of Environmental Protection reported this information.
“The radiation situation is under constant monitoring. Current value fluctuations are within the usual limits for each monitoring point,” the statement reads.
The ministry reminded that following the inspection of the NSC Arch, the following damages were identified:
External cladding of the Arch:
• through destructions covering an area of approximately 15 m²;
• defects in the cladding;
• damage to the internal filler of the cladding;
• existing damage to the bolt connections.
Load-bearing structures of the garage:
• deformed joints of the upper section of the maintenance garage structures.
