The visit of Donald Trump's appointed special representative for Russia and Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, to Kyiv will take place "in due time." Currently, both parties are working on establishing a timeline.
This was stated by Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga, as reported by RBK-Ukraine citing "Ukrinform."
"We welcome all visits from our American friends. This is the first position. The second position is that we very much hope that after the inauguration, the first visits from the newly appointed administration - leaders, executives - will take place in Ukraine," Sibiga declared.
According to him, Kellogg's visit is significant for Ukraine. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry team is currently in contact with Kellogg's representatives to clearly define the timing of the visit and ensure it is filled with substantial content.
Recall that in December of last year, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Georgiy Tikhiy, confirmed the visit of Trump's special representative. It was allegedly already known when Kellogg would arrive in Kyiv. This information was also confirmed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
However, today Reuters reported that Donald Trump's future special representative for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg has postponed his introductory trip to Kyiv and other European capitals. The visit is now expected to occur after the inauguration of the elected U.S. president.
