Penalty for failing to update data: a lawyer explained the consequences of not paying it.

The fine must be paid within 15 days. Ukrainian conscripts who believe the sanctions are unjust can appeal the decision.
Штраф за неактуальные данные: юрист объяснил, какие последствия могут возникнуть при его неоплате.

Conscripts are required to update their personal information at the Military Recruitment Center (TCK) and Social Protection Centers (SP), in administrative service centers (CNAPs), or via the mobile app "Reserve+". Failure to update this information may result in a fine of up to 25,500 hryvnias, which must be paid within 15 days. If the fine is not paid, additional penalties will be imposed, explained lawyer Dmitry Zal in a comment to "RBK-Ukraine".

"Currently, the issue of fines for the untimely updating of information at TCK is becoming increasingly relevant. If the information is not updated, individuals face fines ranging from 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnias, and failure to pay will result in further sanctions," he stated.

If a fine is imposed by TCK, it is important to carefully review its contents. If an individual believes the penalty is unjust, it can be contested within 10 days. If the fine remains unpaid or there is no information about the appeal, the case materials will be transferred to the enforcement service for compulsory execution, and the fine amount will automatically double.

"Additionally, the enforcement service has the right to seize your bank accounts, movable and immovable property. However, if the fine does not exceed 160,000 hryvnias, your home or land cannot be forcibly sold to cover such debts," the lawyer added.

The publication notes that individuals must update their information at TCK within 7 days of any changes to their personal data. It is necessary to report changes in residence, workplace and position, marital status, mobile number, email address, education, and health condition.

Significant reasons for failing to update information on time include serious illness or injury, business trips or work abroad that have been reported to the relevant authorities, family circumstances (such as having minor children who require constant care or the death of a close relative), and documented force majeure circumstances.

It is worth noting that Ukrainians will be able to learn about fines from TCK and SP through the "Diia" app. However, no one will be automatically fined.

Additionally, in some cases, an individual cannot be penalized for not appearing at TCK offices. However, the reasons for this must be documented.
