The Security Service has uncovered a company in Dnipropetrovsk region that assists Russians in constructing laboratories where they develop nuclear weapons, reports the agency’s press service.

The scheme was organized by the owner of a Ukrainian construction materials manufacturing company, according to the investigation.

Following the onset of the invasion, representatives of the factory shipped a large batch of finished stainless steel profiles to the Russian Federation.

The occupiers utilized Ukrainian metal products to set up office spaces at a Russian nuclear research institute, where Russians are developing new missile weaponry with nuclear warheads.

To conceal international shipments, the dealers initially sent the goods to a controlled company in the Middle East, from where they were re-exported to Russian clients.

According to the investigation, the financial records of both companies were managed by the chief accountant of the Ukrainian enterprise.

During searches at the company's addresses and in the residences of the suspects, mobile phones, computer equipment, and documentation containing evidence of criminal activity in favor of the Russian Federation were discovered.

The issue of selecting a preventive measure in the form of detention is currently being resolved. The offenders face up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of property.

Background. It is worth noting that the SBU detained the director of one of the largest banks, who was continuously donating to the Russian army. During the search, a passport of a Russian citizen, Russian rubles, mobile phones, and a computer with evidence of crimes were found.
