Ukraine is set to receive €3.5 billion from the European Union in March. The EU will continue to bolster Ukraine's resilience, as, according to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, this is crucial for the stability and strength of the European Union itself.
The EU President stated that the war in Ukraine remains the most pressing and decisive issue for the future of Europe. Therefore, alongside economic assistance, the EU must expedite the immediate delivery of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. "This matter will be prioritized in the discussions on the European side over the coming weeks," she added.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the country will allocate the first tranche of $5 billion in frozen Russian assets to Ukraine, as well as provide an additional 25 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 F-16 simulators, and ammunition.
