In the evening of January 31, Russian forces attacked the historic center of Odesa with missiles. Three individuals were injured – two women and a boy born in 2006, who sustained a head injury.
The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, reported this information.
Among those present at the epicenter of the strike were Norwegian diplomatic representatives, as noted by Volodymyr Zelensky. Preliminary reports indicate that the Russians used ballistic missiles.
There are numerous damages and destruction in the UNESCO protection zone. Due to the explosions, windows were shattered and facades damaged in the literary, historical and local lore, archaeological museums, as well as in the museum of Western and Eastern art and the philharmonic.
