Russians have fabricated another fake story about the "mansions of Zaluzhny's team" in California.

Ukraine has refuted these claims, labeling them as lies aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Россияне придумали новый фейк о «особняках команды Залужного» в Калифорнии.

Russian propaganda is spreading a fake video about alleged mansions of high-ranking Ukrainian military officials in the United States.

The Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

It is emphasized that the fake video is being disseminated by the United24 Media platform.

The video claims that during the wildfires in California (USA), eight mansions supposedly belonging to high-ranking military personnel from Ukraine were affected.

In particular, the video states that these houses were allegedly purchased by “members of the team of [former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii] Zaluzhnyi” between April 2022 and February 2024, as noted by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

The Center verified the information with United24 Media and declared that the platform did not create or distribute this video material.

“The aim of this deceit is to discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the Center for Countering Disinformation summarized.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and now Ukraine's ambassador to the United Kingdom Valerii Zaluzhnyi stated that the direct involvement of such allies of Russia as Iran, China, and North Korea in the war against Ukraine indicates the beginning of a third world war.
