Русских не пригласили: кто из политиков и бизнесменов присутствовал на инаугурации Трампа.

Donald Trump has officially assumed office as the 47th president of the United States, taking the oath during a ceremonial event held in the Capitol Rotunda. According to the U.S. Constitution, the powers of the previous president, Joe Biden, ended precisely at 12:00 PM, and Trump officially became the head of state.

The ceremony, contrary to tradition, took place not outdoors but inside the Capitol Rotunda.

This decision was made due to adverse weather conditions: cold winds and low temperatures. (“And these people plan to occupy Greenland,” social media users joke).

A wide array of current and former political leaders attended the event.

Among them:

  • Trump's predecessor Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris,
  • former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George W. Bush,
  • former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

International guests at the ceremony included:

  • former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson,
  • Argentinian President Javier Milei,
  • Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni,
  • Vice President of China Han Zheng.

Among the invited business representatives were spotted:

  • Elon Musk – owner of SpaceX, Tesla, and X,
  • Mark Zuckerberg (Meta),
  • Zhou Shouzi (TikTok),
  • Jeff Bezos (Amazon),
  • Tim Cook (Apple).

Ukraine was represented at the ceremony by U.S. Ambassador Oksana Markarova.

Official representatives of the Russian government were not invited to Trump's inauguration. However, opposition Russian politician Mikhail Khodorkovsky was present among the attendees.
