Over the course of three years of full-scale invasion, Russia has launched more than 30 massive strikes against Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The total damages resulting from Russian terror amount to billions of dollars.
This was reported by Ukraine's Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko.
“Each large-scale attack on the energy sector involves one hundred to two hundred, and now even three hundred different types of weapons targeting power generation, substations, power lines, and gas infrastructure. Additionally, targeted strikes on the energy sector occur daily. Russia is committing crimes by attacking facilities critical for the operation of nuclear power plants, thereby posing a threat of nuclear catastrophe,” Halushchenko stated.
The enemy has occupied 18 GW of generation capacity, including hydroelectric power plants, thermal power plants, and Europe’s largest nuclear power plant – the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.
Furthermore, as a result of Russia's actions, hundreds of energy workers have been killed or injured, according to the report.
