Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Russia had planned acts of aerial terror not only against Poland but also against airlines worldwide.
During a press conference following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who is currently in Warsaw, Tusk stated.
Tusk mentioned that on Monday he spoke with leaders of countries that are firmly supportive of Ukraine, particularly regarding security issues in the Baltic Sea and joint actions against Russian sabotage.
Tusk claims that Russia was preparing “very dramatic” acts of sabotage on European territory. He did not provide details but stated that the Russians “planned aerial terror not only against Poland but also against airlines around the globe.”
Recall that Sweden has decided to enhance security in the Baltic Sea by sending three military ships and four coast guard vessels to prevent sabotage of underwater infrastructure.
In particular, earlier a tanker anchor from the Russian “shadow fleet” Eagle S was discovered in the Gulf of Finland, suspected of damaging an underwater power cable.
Background. Previously, Mind reported that German authorities announced the discovery of “incendiary devices” that unidentified individuals were sending via the DHL freight delivery service. Law enforcement believes this could be a Russian sabotage operation.
