The Russian Federation is prepared to provide North Korea with advanced space and satellite technologies in exchange for weapons and equipment that could be utilized in the war against Ukraine.
This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken following talks with South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin in Seoul, writes the South Korean publication Yonhap.
"We have reasons to believe that Moscow intends to share advanced space and satellite technologies with Pyongyang," Blinken noted.
He added that Putin might even alter his longstanding policy and support North Korea's nuclear program.
"This concern is not only for the U.S. but also for South Korea and Japan," Blinken emphasized.
In light of the strengthening military alliance between Russia and North Korea, the Secretary of State expressed the need to enhance security cooperation among the U.S., South Korea, Japan, and NATO.
"Security in the Indo-Pacific region and Europe is becoming increasingly interconnected," Blinken added.
