Russian invaders have declared 18 thousand hectares of land in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region as ownerless, despite being owned by Ukrainians who refused to obtain Russian citizenship. This was reported by the Center for National Resistance.
"The Kremlin conducted another 'inventory' of lands in the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and discovered at least 18 thousand hectares of land that supposedly belongs to no one. In reality, this 'ownerless' land includes plots belonging to Ukrainian owners who did not change their citizenship and did not obtain a Russian passport," the message states.
The Center for National Resistance emphasized that starting from January 1, 2025, Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories who have not obtained the passport of the occupying country will lose all rights.
"In fact, these rights have been stripped away from them by the Russian invaders. Now, this category of citizens is referred to by the Kremlin as stateless persons. Essentially, Putin's regime has made the local population into exiles in their own homeland," the CNS noted.
They also urged all concerned individuals to participate in the resistance against the Russian invaders and support the Resistance Movement.
As a reminder, on January 7, the Center for National Resistance reported that Ukrainians in occupied territories were prohibited from topping up their mobile accounts without a Russian passport.
On December 29, the CNS reported that Russians will sell the land plots of Ukrainians who have left the occupied territories in 2025.
