Law enforcement officials have dismantled an intelligence cell of the Russian Federation, which included employees from the public joint-stock company "Ukrzaliznytsia" and the Kyiv metro. This was reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
According to the investigation, two Ukrainian citizens were recruited in 2014 by a representative of the Kaliningrad office of the Federal Security Service of Russia. Until 2022, the suspects covertly provided him with information about the movement of train rolling stock carrying goods of interest to the Russian Federation, and after the onset of the full-scale invasion, they informed their handler about the movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and provided information on the consequences of strikes on urban infrastructure. Additionally, they were preparing to carry out sabotage actions under the instructions of the FSB.
Searches were conducted on the individuals, resulting in the seizure of weapons, ammunition, explosives, communication devices, and computer equipment. All of this was used for communication with the handler.
Both citizens have been informed of their suspicion of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and justifying, recognizing as lawful, or denying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
"During the documentation of the crime, facts were also established regarding the justification by the suspects and their close associates of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and the glorification of its participants. The brother of one of the suspects has been detained and notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, while the mother has been handed a notification of suspicion under part 1 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine," the Office of the Attorney General added.
We remind you that an entrepreneur will be prosecuted for selling military humanitarian aid. His organization was bringing helmets and bulletproof vests into Ukraine under the guise of humanitarian assistance supposedly for the needs of the National Guard, but in reality, all goods were sold in a store.
Additionally, it has been revealed that a company in the Dnipropetrovsk region is assisting the Russian Federation in building laboratories where Russians are developing nuclear weapons. The owner of a Ukrainian construction materials manufacturing company is involved in organizing the deal.
