On the night of February 4 to 5, Russian occupation forces struck the center of Kharkiv, resulting in damage to a residential high-rise building and a gas station. This was reported by the mayor of Kharkiv, Igor Terekhov.
"There is information about a strike by a 'Shahed' in the central part of the city. We are clarifying the details," Terekhov wrote at 2:46 AM.
Later, he specified that the Russian Armed Forces targeted an administrative building located in the Saltivskiy district of the city.
"There is a fire at the impact site. The windows in the high-rise building across the street have been blown out. The gas station was damaged," Terekhov noted.
The mayor of Kharkiv emphasized that all relevant services are working at the scene.
Exactly half an hour after the report of the 'Shahed' strike, Terekhov announced a second strike.
"Another strike, this time in the Osnovyansky district," Terekhov emphasized.
As a result of the second attack, a fire also broke out in Kharkiv.
It is worth noting that around 2 AM, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the movement of enemy drones from the Sumy region towards Kharkiv Oblast.
At the time of publication, there was no information about casualties or fatalities as a result of the Russian attack.
Recall that on February 4, a ballistic missile "Iskander" from the Russian Armed Forces hit the center of the city of Izium.
On February 1, Russia launched a massive combined strike across Ukraine: explosions were heard in Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and other regions, with air defense systems engaged.
