By the evening of January 17, Russian occupation forces launched dozens of strike drones of the "Shahed" type towards Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Specifically, the enemy UAVs were flying towards Kremenchuk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, and Kherson.
At 23:42, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the threat of strike drones was also extending to the Kyiv region.

Simultaneously, a monitoring Telegram channel counted at least 12 "Shaheds" that were in the sky over Ukraine.
Already after midnight, the Air Forces warned of the threat of strike drones for the capital of Ukraine.
"Attention! Kyiv! Enemy strike UAVs are coming from the north and east," the message stated.
Recall that on the day of January 17, the Russian Armed Forces launched two strikes with ballistic missiles on the city of Kryvyi Rih.
On January 15, the Russian army fired 40 missiles at targets in Ukraine.
