By the evening of January 3, Russian occupation forces launched an attack, deploying strike drones of the "Shahed" type against Ukraine. This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"New groups of strike UAVs in the northern region of Chernihiv are moving southwest," the message stated at 20:41.
Following this, the movement of strike UAVs was recorded in the Poltava, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions.
Residents of Kyiv and Cherkasy regions were also warned about the threat from enemy "Shaheds."

At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced multiple times the missile threat for various regions of Ukraine and reported launches of guided aerial bombs (KAB) by tactical aviation in the Donetsk region.
