Air defense shot down 2 missiles and 79 drones at night, according to the Air Force.

On the night of January 6, 2025, the enemy launched an attack with two guided aerial missiles X-59 from the southern direction, along with 128 strike drones of the "Shahed" type and various types of imitation drones.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As of 09:00, the downing of two guided aerial missiles X-59 and 79 strike drones of the 'Shahed' type, as well as other types of drones, has been confirmed in Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, and Vinnytsia regions. No hits have been recorded," the statement said.

At the same time, according to the Air Forces, 49 enemy imitation drones were location-lost (without negative consequences).

It was noted that the fall of the downed enemy drones caused damage to buildings of enterprises, institutions, and private homes in Chernihiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Poltava, and Kyiv regions. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries.

"As of 8:30, new groups of enemy drones are entering from the north. Take care of yourselves, and adhere to safety requirements," the agency emphasized.
