In Kyiv, law enforcement apprehended a 16-year-old student from a pedagogical college for setting fire to three branches of JSC "Ukrposhta". This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The teenager has already been charged under part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for his actions.
The investigation revealed that the 16-year-old boy, who is studying at a pedagogical college, received an offer via Telegram to set fire to three postal offices in the Solomianskyi and Darnytskyi districts of the capital. In return, he was promised 1,000 US dollars.
7The student accepted the "job" offer. To carry out the plan, he purchased a flammable substance at a gas station and proceeded to the address indicated in the order. He ignited the branches one after another, breaking windows and pouring gasoline on the entrance doors. After that, he set cardboard on fire, which led to the blazes.

The student was detained under article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
"For minors, such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 7 years," the prosecutor's office stated.

Reports on social media indicated that unknown individuals set fire to two "Ukrposhta" branches, likely due to the delivery of mobilization summonses that postal workers distribute from territorial recruitment centers (TRCs).
