Security police detained a resident of Mykolaiv who argued with his wife and threatened to blow up a grenade.
On Saturday, October 26, a domestic dispute in Mykolaiv nearly ended in tragedy.
At 14:55, a call was received by the 102 service regarding "reports of an explosion and bombing." A team was dispatched, consisting of police driver Sergeant Vitaliy Kolbyahin and Senior Sergeant Agamir Badalyan.
Upon arrival at the scene, a woman approached the officers, explaining that she had a verbal conflict with a male partner in her apartment, during which he obtained an object resembling a grenade. Ascending to the appropriate floor, the police found a man inebriated who matched the description. A preliminary search revealed an item that appeared to be a grenade. According to the individual, he claimed to have found this grenade.
The detainee is a local resident born in 1983.
The scene was attended by the investigative team from the Mykolaiv region police department.
The actions of the police were recorded by a body camera. The detainee was subjected to a hand-to-hand combat technique known as "arm twist behind the back" and was placed in special handcuffs.
The preliminary classification of the criminal offense falls under Article 263, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
