The laboratory assistant from Lviv School No. 30, who insulted children during communication with them by threatening to "send them to the front," has been dismissed. This was reported by educational ombudsman Nadezhda Leschik.
It has come to light that to clarify the circumstances of the events that occurred on November 21, 2024, during a physics lesson, the education department established a relevant commission. The investigation revealed that the laboratory assistant made rude remarks towards the children, and the teacher failed to protect the students from humiliation of their honor and dignity.
Following the internal investigation, on December 2, the laboratory assistant was reprimanded, and on December 27, he was dismissed from his position by mutual agreement. The director of the institution also received a reprimand for inadequate performance of her duties, as reported by the educational ombudsman.
The police, in turn, drew up an administrative protocol against the laboratory assistant under Article 173 of the Code of Ukraine, which pertains to "petty hooliganism," and forwarded it to the court for consideration and decision-making.
It should be noted that according to Article 116 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, on the day of dismissal, the employer is obliged to issue the employee a properly executed employment record book and settle accounts with them. When an employee is dismissed by mutual agreement during a state of martial law, unemployment benefits are granted from the first day following the granting of unemployment status.
As a reminder, in Lviv's secondary school No. 30, the physics laboratory assistant scolded students in raised tones, emphasizing that they should be sent to the front lines.
After the incident in class became known, Andriy Zakaliuk, the head of the education department of the Lviv City Council, stated that the perpetrator was not to be dismissed. It turned out that the 9th-grade students had violated safety rules during the lesson, which is why the school employee reacted emotionally.
