Students and graduate students of Ukrainian higher education institutions will be able to once again apply for a deferment from mobilization through the "Reserve+" app starting Wednesday, January 22, announced Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Yekaterina Chernohorenko.
"Immediately after the update and successful testing of the exchange with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, we plan to restore deferments for students and graduate students, as we have received hundreds of requests to resume the service," the Deputy Minister stated.
The service for applying for a deferment from mobilization for students, graduate students, and doctoral candidates in "Reserve+" was temporarily suspended due to technical work in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education issues. At that time, it was reported that the work would last approximately until December 30. The Ministry of Defense noted that the technical work does not affect already granted deferments.
Recall that on January 18, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained the reasons why citizens with the status of "limited fitness" may be wanted in "Reserve+" and how to prevent this.
On January 9, media reported on the conditions under which a military registration document in "Reserve+" is considered invalid, and presenting it for verification to the employees of the TCC and SP can result in a fine.
