The penultimate week of January in Ukraine is expected to be warm, with fog and precipitation across the entire country, except for the western regions. The "Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center" reported on the weather forecast for January 23, 2025.
The entire day will be overcast in Ukraine, with light wet snow and rain expected. Only in most western regions will there be no precipitation. However, it will still be damp with wet snow in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia.
In the Right Bank region, forecasters predict localized fog and ice in the morning. The wind will predominantly be from the southeast at 5-10 m/s.
Throughout the day, temperatures will fluctuate between -2°C and +3°C, with daytime highs in the south and west of the country ranging from +3°C to +8°C.
In Kyiv and the surrounding area, it will be cloudy with rain, which may occasionally turn into wet snow, similar to the previous day. In the night and morning hours, localized fog and ice are expected in parts of Kyiv region.
The wind will mainly be from the southeast at 5-10 m/s. Daytime temperatures will range from -2°C to +3°C. In Kyiv, temperatures will hover around 0°C throughout the day.
Renowned meteorologist Natalia Didenko shared that there will be a continuing trend of rising air temperatures.
"The previously predicted extremely high temperatures have slightly decreased, but the trend towards March or nearly April warmth in the forecasting models is still present... Between January 25 and 30, warming up to +4 to +9 degrees is expected in Ukraine, and +7 to +13 degrees in the south," Didenko noted, adding that it will remain cloudy, damp, and around zero degrees in Ukraine for now.
