The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are encircling Selydove in the Donetsk region, effectively squeezing the city. This was reported on October 15 by Stanislav "Osman" Bunyatov, a soldier with the 24th Separate Assault Brigade "Aidar" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on his Telegram channel.
According to him, Russian occupiers are also "sneaking" into the outskirts of Selydove, but currently, it is a "one-way road." At the same time, the military did not rule out that the situation may change over time.
"Osman" noted that there are persistent issues with coordination in the Selydove area.
"This is our global problem that needs to be addressed with comprehensive changes in the structure of the armed forces, possibly by introducing an additional coordinating body in this direction," he emphasized.
The situation in the Pokrovsk direction was also commented on October 15 by a soldier of the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade with the call sign "Muchnoi" on social media. He reported that it is "very hot" in the area of Selydove.
"Muchnoi" explained that the Russian Armed Forces are accumulating reserves to launch assaults in the near future. Meanwhile, enemy reconnaissance is working on identifying Ukrainian firing positions, and aviation and artillery have intensified their activities. The soldier stressed the need to prepare and start "removing" the invaders even before they reach the city.
Later, "Muchnoi" informed that the enemy would attempt to outflank the village of Lysovka. He explained that the occupiers cannot move "head-on" because that would require them to divert reserves from Selydove.
"Initially, as we believe, there will be a breakthrough specifically in Selydove, followed by movements towards us and north towards Myrnohrad. Our Cossacks are holding the area near Sukhy Yar, but there aren't enough forces to gain full control—something needs to be devised," the soldier predicted.
We remind you that Anastasia Bobovnikova, the spokesperson for the Joint Task Force "Luhansk," reported that the Russian Armed Forces are not preparing for winter in hopes of achieving their goals in the Donetsk region before the frost sets in.
Additionally, the command representative explained what happened to Toretsk, which has become a target for Russian occupiers. According to her, the enemy army leadership promises "golden mountains," and even the threat of death does not deter Russians from the war.
