On October 21, the Kyiv region came under attack from Russian forces. The assault resulted in damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and other infrastructure. This was reported by the National Police.
As of 08:30, it is known that two apartment buildings and one private house, a garage, three vehicles, and a local market in one of the region’s districts were damaged. Currently, there is no information about any casualties.
The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Ruslan Kravchenko, stated that there were no hits on critical and residential infrastructure.
"As a result of debris falling from downed enemy targets in one of the settlements, the roof of a multi-story residential building was damaged, windows were shattered, and there was partial destruction of one of the apartments. Additionally, windows in another multi-story building were broken, and three vehicles were damaged," he reported.
Kravchenko added that all emergency services and psychologists are working at the scene. A warming station has been set up. The consequences of the debris from the UAV are being addressed.
Later, the State Emergency Service clarified that in the village of Hlevakha, in the Fastiv district, the structures of the roof of a five-story building were partially destroyed due to falling debris.
Emergency responders and police evacuated 43 residents. Efforts are ongoing to stabilize the unstable concrete slab structures. A total of 27 rescuers and 3 units of equipment, including heavy engineering machinery, have been deployed to the site.
The State Emergency Service revealed the aftermath of the nighttime shelling of Kyiv. In the Solomianskyi district, a fire broke out as a result of the attack. The fire has been extinguished. A man was injured, sustaining facial burns, but he did not require hospitalization.
It is worth noting that according to the Kyiv City Military Administration, on the night of October 21, Russia attacked Kyiv with drones. The air raid alert lasted for 5 hours. Debris from the drones fell in the Dniprovskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Solomianskyi districts of the capital.
