Germany has delivered the first RCH 155 howitzer to Ukraine.

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has delivered the first wheeled howitzer RCH 155 to Ukrainian defenders as part of enhancing Ukraine's artillery capabilities; Germany has pledged to supply a total of 54 units.

“Ukraine can count on us, and this is a signal. Germany is ready to take responsibility in Europe,” Pistorius stated during the handover of the howitzer.

According to reports, the symbolic transfer took place in Kassel, where the armored vehicle manufacturer KNDS produces this weapon system. Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeiev was also present at the event.

It is noted that the first six of these howitzers will initially remain in Germany for the training of Ukrainian soldiers.

“We do not need intermediaries; we need allies,” Makeiev said.
