The guards of the 19th Nikolaev Regiment of the National Guard demonstrated how they refine their close combat skills in an urban environment.

This was reported by the 19th Nikolaev regiment of public order protection of the National Guard.

They emphasized that this art requires not only speed and decisiveness but also teamwork, where each fighter becomes part of a unified mechanism.

“These training sessions are dedicated to CQB (Close Quarters Battle) — close combat in urban settings, in all its brutal reality. The key requirements for such training are speed, decisiveness, and absolute cohesion. Every step counts here, as the cost of a mistake can be too high.

Imagine a scenario: an enemy breaches, attempting to seize a building or vehicle. How should one respond? Who controls the situation? In such conditions, decisions must be made in fractions of a second,” the report states.

“The guys often joke that these trainings remind them of the legendary game Counter-Strike from their childhood. But here it’s different — there’s no ‘restart’ button, and every mistake can cost a life,” shares an instructor with the call sign Dobryak.

To achieve maximum realism during training, the latest laser tag system is used, which literally “illuminates” the mistakes of each participant. This helps to understand what went wrong and to correct the shortcomings.
