The Netherlands will allocate an additional 271 million euros in military aid to Ukraine. This funding will be used for artillery shells.
As reported by RBK-Ukraine, this was announced by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Twitter.
According to him, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands are firmly committed to jointly supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression. He also reminded that about a year ago, an initiative was launched for the supply of ammunition, and today another significant step has been taken.
"We will supply more large-caliber artillery ammunition. For this purpose, the Netherlands is allocating 271 million euros for artillery shells. This will assist Ukraine in ammunition supply by 2025 and engage the European defense industry in further expansion," Rutte wrote.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Netherlands has been actively supporting our country. In particular, in early October, Ukraine received its first F-16 fighters from the Netherlands. At that time, an initiative for drones was also announced.
In the summer, The Netherlands announced plans to transfer the Patriot air defense missile system to Ukraine in cooperation with another country.
