Tax evasion: The Bureau of Economic Security has reported suspicions against the director of a private airline.

The detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security (BEB) of Ukraine have uncovered a private aviation company's director who intentionally evaded the payment of value-added tax (VAT) in significant amounts.

According to the investigation, the head of the enterprise instructed the chief accountant to unlawfully apply a tax benefit and not to calculate VAT while submitting tax reports to the regulatory authorities.

The company is registered in the Dnipropetrovsk region and supplied helicopters, as well as provided services for the repair, maintenance, modernization, and outfitting of aircraft, among others.

It has been established that during July, September, December 2023, and April 2024, the company intentionally evaded paying over 10.2 million UAH in value-added tax.

It is noted that BEB detectives have ensured the full recovery of the damages incurred. The company has already paid 10.2 million UAH in taxes to the state budget.

Currently, the individual has been informed of suspicion regarding the commission of a criminal offense under part 2 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (evasion of payment of taxes, fees, mandatory payments).
