A deputy from Mykolaiv has been suspected of illegal enrichment
Law enforcement agencies have reported a suspicion of illegal enrichment exceeding 20 million hryvnias against an acting people's deputy.
This was announced on Thursday, October 17, by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, the case concerns Irina Allahverdieva (current surname - Kormyshkina), a representative of the "Servant of the People" party.
The investigation has established that between 2021 and 2022, the deputy acquired assets that exceed her official income and savings for that period by more than 20 million hryvnias.
Meanwhile, her official income and savings during this time amounted to no more than 2.7 million hryvnias, which the suspect used for other purposes.
With the funds obtained, she subsequently purchased a building near Odesa through a legal entity, where she resides.
The deputy faces a penalty of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years, along with a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in specific activities for up to three years.
