The oil pumping station "Novovelychkovskaya" in the Krasnodar region of Russia has been left without power following an attack by Ukrainian drones.

This is reported by hromadske citing sources in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

Ukrainian forces targeted the 110/35/10 kV substation that supplied power to the oil pumping station. A fire broke out at the facility. Currently, the station has ceased operations, and the Russians are assessing the extent of the damage.

The SBU adds that the "Novovelychkovskaya" station is one of the key facilities for oil transportation in Kuban. Specifically, this station is responsible for supplying the Afipsky and Ilysky oil refineries.

Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Putin described the Ukrainian drone attack on the Kropotkinskaya oil station as a strike against U.S. interests. According to him, the station was not covered by air defense because it is an international facility, and the Russians did not anticipate it would be a target for attack.
