A previously convicted man raped a local woman in Mykolaiv region: he has been sent to pre-trial detention.
On Thursday, October 24, a 28-year-old resident of one of the communities reported to Police Station No. 2 of the Voznesensk District Police Department that she had been raped by a local resident.

The victim stated that the day before, in the evening, a 47-year-old local man came to her house, was in an intoxicated state, used physical force, and committed violent acts against her.
Investigators have ordered the necessary examinations.
The perpetrator, who had previously faced criminal responsibility for property crimes, was detained by investigators under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
In agreement with the Voznesensk District Prosecutor's Office, the detainee was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Article 152 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Rape." The sanctions of this article provide for imprisonment for up to five years.
Currently, the court has chosen a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention.
