In Kyiv region, a judge fled to the Caribbean using forged documents: what consequences await him (video).

According to information from the State Bureau of Investigations, a lawyer assisted the judge in preparing the documents. Currently, the indictments against both individuals have been submitted to the court.

A judge from the Brovary district court (Kyiv region) managed to travel abroad for a vacation using forged documents, which were facilitated by a lawyer. However, criminal proceedings have been initiated against both individuals, and indictments have been sent to court. This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigations.

Law enforcement officials stated that during the state of martial law, the judge went on vacation aboard a cruise ship traveling through the Caribbean. To achieve this, he conspired with a familiar lawyer to forge an invitation supposedly for a conference in Vienna regarding assistance for displaced persons, families with children, and orphans from Ukraine to the EU. Based on this document, he was granted a business trip abroad by the court.

"The judge is accused of fraud committed by a group of individuals in collusion, document forgery, and using a knowingly forged document (part 2 of Article 190, part 3 of Article 27, part 3 of Article 358, part 4 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The lawyer is charged with fraud committed by a group of individuals in collusion and document forgery (part 5 of Article 27, part 3 of Article 358, part 2 of Article 190, part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the statement reads.

The State Bureau of Investigations noted that the sanctions of the articles provide for a punishment of up to 5 years in prison.

It is worth recalling that on April 26, it became known that an accident occurred in the city of Brovary, Kyiv region. At that time, the head of the Brovary District State Administration, Volodymyr Maibozhenko drove drunk, which resulted in a collision with pedestrians. It was reported that four people were injured.

Later, the Brovary district court of Kyiv region ruled to fine him 34,000 hryvnias and prohibited him from driving for 3 years. The Kyiv regional prosecutor's office then expressed disagreement with the court's verdict.
